I don't know about the bustle without seeing the different option. My instinct in simpler is better. But YOWZA that is one gorgeous dress!!!
Gorgeous gown!!! I think that a french bustle would look gorgeous! When I had my first dress (now returned), I had the sales consultant show me a bunch of different bustles. If you want to see some different styles, I posted pics at http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/vote-vote-votewhich-bustle-looks-best
i think a simple one point bustle with a brooch would be beautiful.
I was thinking french, futuredrbraun, so that makes me feel better that somebody else said it! I don't want to add anything to the dress. It's a Lela Rose gown and for me, the best part of her dresses are the impeccable materials that they are made from, so I don't want to add something that might now be the same quality. You might be be able to see it, but at the middle seams in the front and back and at the waist there is a piece of super delicate lace trim. So, I need to be very careful about having that line up or just look normal. LOL
french or one point pick up would look good. don't do any more pick ups than that though.
What is a one point bustle? See, I told you I'm clueless! :) I HATE pick up style dresses, so am I going to hate it too?
a one point pickup is an over-bustle. A french bustle is an under-bustle. If you are going to have a tailor do the bustle anyway, just ask her to show you a few simple bustle styles. That is a beautiful dress!
either of these would be really pretty. the one on the left is a one point over bustle i think it would look pretty with a brooch. the one on the left is an underbustle.

I like the underbustle a lot more then the pickup kind for my dress. I like the one point kind for most flowy dresses.
FTR, it's totally not my dress yet, but I'm just being prepared! :)
I'd like the one point overbustle with your dress. I wouldn't recommend it for dresses with heavier material/trains (like mine...my bustle lasted about 3 minutes before it broke), but for that dress, it would be great.
evidently i don't know my right from left. the one on the right is the underbustle
Hmmm. Not sure, but I had a pick-up style bustle for mine. It had a short train, and when I tried to put it under, it didn't poof, just looked weird. I really didn't have enough train to do an under-bustle correctly, and yours might be the same way

OK, what kind of bustle should I do with this dress? I'm clueless! Both pics are of the same dress, though it doesn't look like it. I'm clueless about bustles, because I never thought I would need one. I wasn't planning on a dress with any sort of train! Even if this one isn't that long, it still needs one I think. Help!! If anybody has pictures of a similar train bustled, that would rock.
