Okay so I just started Level 2 about the beginning of last week, it was SO incredibly hard for me to finish the first time so I've been working into it & I can pretty much complete the whole level now. But, when we do the "lunges" and I put my leg all the way back with my knee in the air, and with my other leg at a 90 degree angle (you ladies should know what I'm talking about if you've done Level 2 of this Shred) I've found that SOMEHOW, it kills my ankles, or at least around that area.

I have bruises there & it's REALLY sensitive, I accidently hit it today when getting up from my desk & I almost SCREAMED. And it's been this way for about a week now! I don't want to stop because I want to see results, though. Has this happened to any of you? Or am I the only one?

By the way...I am seeing results in my tummy, it's getting toned! :)

My ankles crack an unbelievable amount, are stiff, and they do ache after level 2. Not so much with level 3, but I skipped a few days, so I think I'm going to go back and re-build a bit.

What circuit is this move in?  For some reason, I'm having trouble seeing it...I've only done Level 2 twice, but I haven't noticed anything with my ankles -- but I do sometimes feel like I'm not doing some of the moves correctly (mainly the plyo/plank moves)!

I'm pretty sure its in Circuit 2, it's the strength move. She calls it the lunges. I mean, I'm not positive if that's what hurts my ankles but I'm pretty sure it is because it's the only part I use them in.

Maybe your ankles are bent too much or twisting in an awkward way when you move your arms...do you notice it in both ankles?

I don't have anything relevant to contribute, but I just wanted to say that I did level 2 for the first time this afternoon and I thought I was going to DIE! Yeesh, it's SO hard!

@miz: It is on both ankles, I've been trying to pay attention to the way I twist my ankles but I keep them the same way that the girls in the video do, and the pain just won't go away! I don't know what it is, but it hurts soo bad.

& @amanda: I KNOW!! I felt the same way, it'll get better the next few times but I couldn't do it the first time because I literally just COULDN'T!! So I feel you girl!

@Lees - Yeah, I thought I'd give it a try today, 'cause I'm on my 5th day, and I had to just stop and lay on the floor a few times! So freaking hard!

I've done Level 2 multiple times and never had any ankle issues. Perhaps you're ankles are just building strength- muscles you've never used... Hang in there you'll be kicking Level 3's butt in no time! I can now do every level with ease and used to die on Level 1!

@USMCbride - I'm on day 5, and I am definitely seeing my endurance go up. I can do level 1 much easier than I could on day 1! I think it's probably too early for me to really be seeing results, but I can definitely FEEL them! I've been sore for 5 days straight now!

@USMCbride I prob only lost a few pounds and did it pretty consistently for 3 months and now Level 3 about 1-2x/week... However I noticed I was much more toned-- especially in my arms, legs and no muffin tops! I have since switched up my workout and include bootcamp classes and pilates sculpt... Whew- I thought Jillian kicks your butt--- those are 10x harder than the Shred, but her tape actually prepares you for those pretty well!

Careful on Level 2.  I thought I was going to die the first day after I did it.  I noticed the next day my ankle hurt, but I continued to do the Shred.  Finally after my workout on day 3 of level two I realized it wasn't my ankle that hurt but my Achilles tendon.  It hurt to walk in flats or barefeet for about 2 weeks, I could walk in heels just fine.  I assume cause I wasn't stretching the tendon.

Its better but I am afraid to go back to the shred. I do not know what part of level 2 did it, all I know that is the only thing I was working on that time.

Oh no!  I notice that move is hard for me too!  But I will say that the bruising concerns me!  Why would that cause bruising?!  Could it be the way your sneaker is rubbing up against your ankle?  I actually have hurt my lower back TWICE doing level 2 chair squats and V flys.  I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.  I am noticing toning, but not much weight loss.  Feel better, and be careful!

I gave up on level 2 because it was too hard on my knees and ankles. I haven't tried level 3 yet (just went back to level 1).
