Forgot to ask. Has this ever happened to anyone of you?
I know that some designers can make alternations to the dress, maybe at this store they wanted to show you how the dress looks with a different train? You know sometimes they change the zip up back to lace up, maybe this is the case here.
more than likely its the same dress. I have noticed with Maggie that her dresses usually have longer trains in person.
Thanks for the feedback. Should I call the shop and ask?
I think it might be the same dress too. It looks like the model might have the train behind her, where the camera can't see it, and her overlay is just pulled to the side of the main train. (If that makes sense...) Also, I don't know how tall you are, but the model might look like she has a shorter train because she could be much taller and in heels...
I agree with everyone: call the store and i do think that the model has the train behind her...Asking never hurts!
I wore this dress for my wedding and the train is just the lace overlay. I would say you are not wearing the Maggie Sottero dress in your pic.
Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, I examined both dresses pretty well and it appears that the dress you have on has wider "layers" and a differing pattern than the Maggie. I don't know what exactly to call them, but if you look closely where the dress has the thinner looking fabric, this is what I'm speaking of when I mention layers. Notice the width varies between the dresses?
Also, compare the bottoms of both dresses -- their patterns of alternating layers differs greatly. Your dress changes its pattern of layers at the bottom (your dress's bottom is almost entirely thin fabric all the way around) whereas the Maggie has the same width of alternating layers from top to bottom.
I'm thinking it's safe to bet that while your dress looks nearly identical to the Maggie, it's not.
I noticed this was originally posted a month ago. Any updates? Good luck!
PS - They're both really pretty!
I think your dress is Sottero and Midgley RSM1036.

Hope this helps!
i agree with cap1000, definitely looks alot like that sottero & midgley dress.
I also agree that the you are wearing is not the same as the one you found on the website. I think yours is the RSM1036 which, btw, is stunning! I almost wish I had seen that dress before I ordered mine!
I have the libby dress and I really don't think this is a Libby, but pretty nonetheless. the libby is a little more blingy

I found my dress yesterday. Libby by Maggie Sottero, or so I thought. As I was looking at the pictures from when we were trying them on and comparing it to Maggie Sottero's website I relized the the trains on the two dresses are totally different! The one on Maggie Sottero's website is only the overlay and the one I tried on had both layers. Did the dress shop write down the wrong style? HELP!!
