YES! we used liberty travel to book a 4 day vacation in jamaica last year. the price we were quoted for the resort we wanted was hundreds less than anywhere else...so we took a chance and it paid off big time.
i cannot emphasize how EXCELLENT their customer service is. we were assigned a travel rep, who was readily accessible to us until days before the trip with all the questions we had. she was wonderful. we got an itinerary packet with our flight tickets only a couple of days after we booked. the trip went off without a hitch - and we did get the room that we requested (there were five different types of rooms at the resort).
let me know if you have any questions, but i can say with confidence that we will DEFINITELY be using them again.
Oh my goodness, you totally made my day marisa! We're still a bit off from booking, but we just got to the "crap, how are we going to afford this honeymoon phase".
Question marisa (if you wouldn't mind). I read somewhere that many travel agencies will book you like 2nd floor if you choose oceanview, and you have a crappy view. Did you experience this?
in our case we asked for a garden view on the first floor. i read some reviews of the resort we want to book (couples swept away in negril) that garden rooms close to the main road were noisy. so i asked ethel, our agent, for a garden room away from the road and she delivered. again, i don't know if this was resort specific, or agent specific, but she was very accomodating.

We used Liberty Travel to book our vacation to Excellence Punta Cana last November (when we got engaged 
) and we were VERY happy, they were very professional, the woman who booked our trip was very helpful (and when we went back a few months later to pick up our travel documents she remembered little parts of the conversation we'd had last time- asked how my marathon training was going, how my (then new) job was, etc). She gave us good tips about what to book/not to book and we were very happy with how the trip turned out. She also worked hard to find us direct flights.

We haven't gone on our honeymoon yet, but we have really enjoyed working with our travel agent at Liberty Travel and she seemed genuinely interested in getting us the best deal for the best vacation we could afford. She didn't push one resort over the other because of cost -- she actually listened to what we were looking for and gave us options based on our requests. She even emailed us after our first meeting to follow up with our top two choices since she had talked to some co-workers about their experiences there and had more information for us. So far we don't have a single complaint about her and our fingers are crossed that our honeymoon will be as great as her service has been!
cupcake, you're in PA, right? Which Liberty Travel did you use?
Yes, I'm in PA..... we live in Delaware County so we went to the Liberty Travel in Springfield Mall. Certainly not a super-glam location 
, but if you go there I HIGHLY recommend Jenn Loftis.... she's young, friendly, relatable, and we never felt like she was just pushing us to book something so she'd get the commission. She also didn't follow up incessantly or bug us to book things. She emailed me once to let me know of some other reviews she had heard about the 2 places we were considering, and then let us take our time (over a month) to book when we felt ready. Let me know if you go there!
We are using Liberty Travel in Freehold, NJ to book our 2-week honeymoon to Italy. I can't say that they saved us a lot of money compared to Expedia, etc. but neither my FI nor I have ever been to Italy so we would have been completely overwhelmed trying to research and book everything ourselves. Our travel agent happens to be from Italy, so we lucked out as she was able to give us some great recommendations.
My fiance and I booked two trips through Liberty Travel: one to the Cayman Islands and one to Italy. They were wonderful for both trips. And their prices were good. I would definitely use them again.

Has anyone used Liberty Travel before? I saw their ad on The Knot, and on a whim requested a quote for a hotel I've been eyeing for the honeymoon. Their price was about $1500 less than booking from the hotel directly. Just seemed too good to be true. Anyone have experience from them? Do they give you one of the less desirable rooms at the hotel (ie next to elevators, lower floors, etc)? Thanks ladies :-)
