I love the ink well idea! How charming! I haven't used a card catalog in centerpieces, but I saw flowers in the drawers of one with escort cards once...

I don't have pictures of anything like that but your ideas seem really neat! DH and I went to a wedding last fall where some of the centerpieces were small stacks of old books tied with a thick ribbon and then a single flower was tucked under the ribbon. Then some tables had a big glass with coffee beans and a candle. They had some floral arrangements mixed in too.

Today was such an exciting day because not only was my local florist having a sale, but the farmer's market had beautiful mini white hydrangeas available. So I came home with a bunch of flowers and got to work preparing different centerpieces to see how they would look in the library card catalog drawer as well as in the vintage ink wells.

Hi All!
My partner and I are planning a library-themed wedding in Fairfax and I am looking for some suggestions about floral centerpieces.
I have been collecting antique ink wells for the past several months and wanted to put some cream spray rose posies in them and place them on top of stacked books. Recently I also acquired a beautiful library card catalog and want to incorporate the drawers either as containers for longer centerpieces, or to use as a card box or even on our dessert table as long candy dishes.
Has anyone ever used card catalog drawers as decorative pieces and if so would you mind sharing your ideas and if possible pictures?
