- Wedding: May 2011
My fiance and I are trying to figure out a way to bypass the 72hour waiting period. We don’t have another day to take off before the wedding, we are arriving from out of state on the Wednesday before. But NJ law states that we have to apply for our licenses on Tuesday for a Saturday wedding. GRR!
I also saw on their website that applications are good for 6 months. But they say they issue the certificate as soon as it’s approved. Is there a way to delay it so that we can apply when we go home for christmas and then pick it up the week of the wedding? Has anyone done this?
We’re also only going to be in NJ from the 22nd of December to the 27th. I really hope the county clerks office is open on at least one of those days, or we’ll be out of luck anyway. I can’t find any information on their holiday hours, anyone know?
