I’m seriously considering purchasing the Life Factory glass baby bottles and was wondering if anyone has had personal experience with them for children? I have the grown-up ones for me but was wondering if the baby/sippy ones are 1) very heavy 2) easy to use/clean. In addition, is it worth it to buy the 4 oz bottles or just stick with the 9 oz bottles and adjust the quantity of liquid as needed?
I also found a great deal on the sippy 9 oz bottles on a website and was wondering if it is doable to just buy the sippy ones (since they’re heavily marked down) and then just buy the appropriate nipples/lids and swap them out as we go along. How many of the 4 oz and/or 9 oz bottles would be enough for one child?

I’m not a mom yet but I’ve used them while nannying and I am a big fan. I love that they feel solid and easy to grip, have no chemicals and they hold up really well. The sleeves can be a little tough to get on and off, but it’s not annoying enough to discourage use of the bottles. I also love that they can transition from bottle to sippy to water bottle so you really get a lot of use out of them.
Are you planning on breast feeding? With the kids I watched, mom breast fed exclusively while the babes were really little and drinking 4oz or less so they only needed the 9oz bottles. I would definitely use the bottles myself and am actually planning on doing so when DH and I have kids.
Where did you happen to see them online? It can be tough to find them at an affordable price.
ETA: I forgot to add that mom did eventually buy some 4oz bottles for when the kids were learning to hold the sippy cups themselves. She didn’t have that many though since she also had a few other sippies in the rotation and the kids had no problem holding the 9oz size.

@saraja87: Thanks for the feedback. I have a few of the larger glass bottles with the silicon sleeve that aren’t LifeFactory-branded as I bought them at Lululemon and the sleeves are near impossible to get off! I usually just wash them with the sleeves on and it looks like LF says that’s fine too. I am planning on BF if I can, but I do plan to go back to work and I read online that these were compatible with a variety of pumps.
That’s a good idea to just buy a few of the 4 oz as practice beginner sippy cups. I kind of think the 4 oz ones are cuter bc they’re so tiny. 🙂
