A quote from a great eighties movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off. We recently purchased the DVD and when we watched it, we realized that we were in sore need of a day like this. So in honor of doing nothing and lack of responisbilities (or at least setting them aside for one day), we had our very own day off.
And while we didn't steal a Ferarri or sing on a parade float, we had a blast in Seattle: Pike Place Market, a hole in the wall Mexican restaraunt, the 73rd floor of the Columbia Center skyscraper (complete with foreheads against the glass), a toy store, buying drinks for a complete stranger for her 56th birthday, running all over town and acting like complete tourists in the heart of the city. While everyone was wrapping up their work week on a Friday, we were having fun.
For couples in the middle, beginning or end of wedding planning, this is a great way to have fun with you honey and kick up your heels. Or as Ferris would say...
"It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."
