Holy god, that is insane! I am sooooo glad I didn’t order from them, I was actually considering it!!! That is so beyond creepy and unacceptable!! I’m sorry that happened to you. Next time they call fart directly into the phone at them for me.

charisma87:  Wow that is ridiculous. So sorry 🙁

Maybe there’s facebook group in your area for people selling wedding items? I have a few I’m on and people sell dresses marked down all the time. Could be worth it and then you don’t have to do jeans 🙂

charisma87:  That is crazy and I think I would tell my credit card company about it. I know they have a policy and I know it is not exactly fraud, but there is no need for that kind of treatment.

Ew. I’m so sorry this happened to you! Something about their website has always rubbed me the wrong way, it’s probably totally irrational but your story has affirmed my aversion. Have you contacted your credit card company yet? Have you found another dress?

ohnatto:  The website actually appears on Allure Bridal site to watch out for. I have heard too many bad things to try them. My friend who got her BM dress from jjshouse had good things to say about it.

MrsUPS: I don’t think a credit card company would cover change of mind for a refund.

charisma87:  Can you post the original email sent form LITB so we can see if indeed it was “nasty”. I find dealing with overseas vendors like LITB given the english as a second language things can get misinterpreted and tone can sometimes be hard to work out across email.

Not excusing the rude phone call but maybe everything has been blown out of context starting with you.

I have used LITB many times and have never experience the customer service you are describing.

I’m sorry you had this experience. I’ve worked with LITB before and never had an issue, but I definitely know folks who have. (Never rudeness, though.) That said, if this is literally the worst decision you’ve ever made, your life is going pretty well …

j_jaye:  IF, they choose not to followup with their policy of refunding the 50%, then yes they can persue it as fraud. Especially if it is plainly stated as one of their policies on their site. Same as a written contract.

charisma87:  Just because some people have good experiences with a company does not mean everyone will. I am not sure how much money you dished out, but I would not just let it go.

MrsUPS:  True as long as the OP only asks for the 50% back.

j_jaye:  While she does not exactly say that she requested the refund I am assuming it was implied that she did when she canceled the order.

MrsUPS:  It sounds less like “they are reneging on their refund policy” is the complaint than “they were mean.” Angry customer service agencies do not constitute fraud, although I’d love to be a fly on the wall for that call to the credit card company.

rachel85:  While the post does sound more like a rant about the customer service she does mention that she was threatened with no refund if she hung up during the call.
