@kerensa:  We purchased an Ergo TempurPedic Split King 7 months ago.  My husband snores, flails around at night, rolls all over the place, he sleeps with a lot of cover, I don’t.  Now with our new bed I don’t know when he gets up in the middle of the night, we both sleep with our own covers, I don’t have to worry about getting kicked in the middle of the night & I am able to elevate my head and feet a little while sleeping.

Some friendly advice:

No one can sell TempurPedic beds for less than what TempurPedic has the price set at. However, retailers will often throw in TempurPedic pillows, mattress covers, free delivery and set up…as a way to beat a competitors quote (We got about $350 worth of freebies at time of purchase). It took a lot of searching to find sheets that fit (XL Twin), most had deep pockets which were too big for the mattress(es) we picked out.   TempurPedic sells Bamboo sheets for $490-Split King—yikes!  The store we purchased ours at will let you only exchange the mattress 1x. Which is the general policy for TempurPedic. We were lucky and our salesmen let us exchange ours twice & outside the 100 night trial.  1st one was too hard & the 2nd one made us too hot.    Although it took awhile for us to find the perfect mattress (we both picked the same one), we love our TempurPedic and it is worth every penny.

PM if you need more info.

We love our Latex foam mattress. Not much movement gets transfered. I think you also need a VERY stable bed frame, this will help tons!

do you sleep with a fan or other white noise? DH is a very light sleeper and he sleeps deeper and wakes up less often with white noise.

@StillAMiss:  And I agree about having your own covers. We each have our own and you dont feel it being tugged and pulled etc. Helps a lot to have your own “cocoon”

@kerensa:  do you have an ikea near you? we got a memory foam mattress there (king size) and it was only $400. we use the wooden bed slats as a base but they have regular box springs too if you need one. this is what we have:
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00139851/#/40196496

we both love it. i was hesitant to buy a mattress from ikea but it’s really good quality and really comfy. DH gets up at 3am for work and never wakes me up. he also rocks in his sleep and i used to be able to feel the bed move but not with this mattress.

We have an iComfort mattress and I absolutely love it! I am a very light sleeper and my husband is a tossin’ turin’ bed hog. I barely notice my hubby moving around anymore… unless one of his limbs wack me in the face, of course.

I totally suck at sleeping. We have a king sized memory foam mattress – it really helps isolate the motion of him rolling around! I can’t sleep on an innersprung mattress with him!

We also have our own blankets, which really helps. Him “burritoing” in his blanket doesn’t jostle me since ours are separate.

I also sleep with earplugs in and a fan on in pitch black, hahahaha. Seriously. I suck at sleeping.

The foam mattress helps but definitely get the biggest size you can afford. We currently have a queen and we can still feel each other’s movements. FWIW, many companies make foam mattresses that are essentially like Tempurpedic but without the designer name and they are significantly less expensive. I also agree with using multiple blankets/comforters.

We have a king size Serta, it’s a Vera Wang strangely enough lol. I love it! I used to sleep terribly when we had a full size bed, so happy we went with the king.

We have a king size memory foam mattress, and it’s great! The memory foam absorbs all our movement, so we never feel the other person tossing and turning (unless they pull the sheets with them).

@kerensa:  There are several different lines within TempurPedic (Cloud, Contour, Weightless to name a few ) & within each line there are different models.  Each exchange we made was for a differnt model.
