@Raishell07:  Lighting gels would work, although they’re usually used in theatre instruments where the lamps get really hot.  Cellophane would be cheaper, easier to find, and work for fluorescent lights. Just don’t let it touch the bulbs. By fluorescent I’m picturing the long tubes in a drop ceiling? They also sell different colored flourescent lights, but those can get pricey. I once tacked $1 store purple plastic tablecloth to my basement ceiling on the outside of the light cover for a Halloween party. Not really classy looking, but it gave it was a nice effect.
