You are more than welcome to call my coordinator Thomas Bui He always has great lighting at his events. He may be able to give you a quick referral. What is your friend trying to do? It may not be an unreasonable quote. The JFG is tricky. Power situation is not event friendly. If she is trying to do lots of lanters, I've noticed that companies charge A LOT for them. Hope that helps
I am curious also. I got quoted $1400 for lighting (paper lanterns) and was wondering if there are any places that would do it cheaper than that.
I am in LA and got quoted $1600 for paper lanterns. I think we are just going to do it ourselves. I am not sure how many paper lanterns they are planning to put up for me, but they said 4 strings. I can't imagine it to be more than 80 based on the location of the trees that he's planning to tie them to. So that would make it $20 per lantern. Waaayyy to expensive for my budget.

Does anyone have a recomendation for a great lighting company in San Diego or even in Southern California? I have a friend who's having an outdoor ceremony and reception at a Japanese Garden and got a quote for $2000 for what she wanted to have done. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
