I was at walmart the other night and found little lights with a loop to hang from a string with an 8 hour light time for 1.97 for a pack of 2.... most websites sell them for $10 each!!! BIG SAVINGS. I found them in the bridal section.
I have some LED lights that I bought to put in my centerpieces that you can actually turn off and on and can be submurged in water. I tested them (left them on all day and night because I wasn't sure what would happen) and they lasted for 28 hours IN WATER!! They gradually weakened over time, but I was tickled pink. I've got some pictures of them lit, and actually I have 2 boxes of 1 doz each that I'm not going to use. (we bought white ones and then I changed my mind and decided to go with green to light up the water). PM me if you want pictures or want more info.
The ones I bought at wal mart are also for underwater usage...
I've also seen underwater LEDs in color at save on crafts.com

DIY brides, I need help. I am planning on lighting my paper lanterns. Has anyone used the LED lights that run on batteries? Does anyone have any pictures of them lit?
The sites that sell them have approximate burn time, but I was looking for road tested advice. Thanks
