So I am going to rent some lighting for my reception venue. I am going to ask for uplights. I was thinking a pale blush/pink and maybe another color (purple?)? I want it to feel calming, loungey, and just be pretty. But, I don’t want it to be to clubby.
What color up lights would you use for the reception venue?
Are there other types of lighting that would make the venue look good? Any thoughts at all would help me. The ceilings are really high so I thought about doing something shining up – maybe stars on the ceiling – I don’t know.
And the other decision I need to make is for the cermony. I’ve included a pic of the ceremony space below. It has huge windows overlooking a waterfall. The ceremony will be at 5pm in the summer – so sun will be shining through the windows as it doesnt get dark until around 9pm. Should I invest in lighting for the ceremony space? I wonder if it would be wasted money or if it would help fancy up the space.
This wall will be covered with flowy drapes – prob in light gray. I was thinking of placing uplights at each panel. You can’t really see it clearly, but there’s also a 2nd floor and there will likely be cocktail tables set up or maybe some sort of lounge furniture.
Ceremony Space – It needs some spiffying up. If light is coming in through the windows, would uplights or lighting even make a difference?
