Ok so below is a pic of my venue with the ivory table cloths and the black table cloths. Should I do black chairs with black table cloths or do black chairs with ivory table cloths? I can a table runner on top as well. I will be in ivory and GM with me in Black, girls with be in either a pewter or a black dress. The colors will mostly be in our bouquets only since I am not doing flower centerpieces. The centerpiece will be a round mirror that sits underneath a silver candelabra with ivory tapered candles and scattered dark purple rose petals and 4 votives around it on the table.
EDIT: the lighting in the room can be changed to any color.

My centerpieces will look something like this:
bouquets (this is where the color will be – everything else is just shades of ivory gray and black

@jessyrez: This is entirely amatter of personal preference.I’m not big on black tablecloths, so I voted ivory.

I vote ivory so the floral arrangements will pop. Black on black under low lighting will swallow up and color

I also like that with the ivory tablecloths you can see the color of the centerpieces so much better. You don’t want it to look like Halloween with the black and orange together either. I love orange, nice choice!

Can you do black chairs and dark purple tablecloths with a pewter table runner underneath your centerpieces?
I think the contrast is too stark between the ivory tablecloths and black chairs, and that your centerpieces would blend into the ivory tablecloth too much.
I also think black everything is too much black, so dark purple is close enough to black, but will make the dark purple flower petals pop on the pewter table runner.
All of this might look very nice with the purple lighting.
