- Wedding: April 2014 - Morton Arboretum
I would like some thoughts. I have fallen in love with a linen overlay. I know crazy, but I used to wedding plan and I like these additional touches. I also feel it is an overall way to save you money. By using an overlay you can introduce color and pattern for a nominal price. It may avoid having to have as much lighting or flowers.
Anyway, here is my thoughts and I would like to know if anyone have used this overlay. It is the plum dahlia with band from BBJ (Chicago Linen Company). I am getting married at the morton arboretum in the suburb of Chicago, Lisle, in the arbor room.
The wedding is smaller only 80 – 100. So 9 -11 tables depending on guest count. The room has these taupe chairs that they offer included in the rental. Also you can get any classic linen you want no charge extra. I would do the Plum Dahlia over ivory as to match more with the Taupe in the room.
Anyway again I drag on – I am wondering should I do all the tables with the overlay or just every other. So far my fiance says all of them. I just worry if it will be too busy. I am not doing a charger, and maybe a white or platinum napkin.
Flowers I am thinking ivory, purple, blue, and maybe a touch of green or another accent color.
Here is a pic of the overlay. I think it is on ivory classic linen that hits the floor. The Overlay is only 90 inches so it will not be as low as the picture as that is on a highboy.
What do you guys think?
