Inspired by Mrs. Mary Jane's wedding announcements printed on linen paper, I really want to do my STD postcards on linen paper. I also love Mrs. Mascara's linen paper STD.

Has anyone actually printed a postcard on linen paper and mailed it as a postcard (sans envelope)? If so, what printing company did you use and how did it turn out? Since its not glossy, if it got wet would the ink run?

Does anyone know what paper weight I need to use for a postcard?

if it gets wet the ink does run, office depot has an option where you can bring them the paper and they will set it up post card size for you (or set your print option up that way)

How do photos look printed on linen cardstock?  I was considering this as well since I already have cardstock for my invitations (and plenty of extra), but I might change my mind if the ink is going to bleed.

Here's the link to the cards Mrs. Mary Jane did.

Here's a link to some save the dates by Mrs. Mascara:

Mrs. Mascara told me that she doesn't remember any of her ink running, but I'm pretty sure it depends on what type of printing method you use. If you just print the cards out on an inkjet, it might be more likely to run/bleed if it got wet. But if you use a laser printer, I don't think it woud bleed.
