The ones i have been to were very nice... silly jokes here and there but for the most part no one acted like giggling 12yr olds : )
I had one. Yes, it's a bit embarassing but the women in my family are all awesome so it wasn't really awkward or anything. Besides, the gift part really doesn't take all that long anyways.
I think it depends on how your family sees it. I think my FMIL would laugh it off and have a good time with it but my mom & Aunts might have a heart attack. LOL

Hi Bees. I have a feeling (from a couple of odd questions people have recently asked me) that my MOH might be planning a lingerie shower. This is fine, and makes sense since we've already got an established household and don't need much. The only problem is that I'm pretty shy and I'm afraid I'll get really embarrassed! I tried to get out of having a shower altoghether (I'm not great at being center of attention) but I was told that's NOT AN OPTION.
Have you had -- or been to -- lingerie showers? If so, what are they like?! I've never even attended one so I'm not sure what to expect. Any clues are welcome! Thanks.
