I'm not a lipstick fan so I rarely wear it. But when I do I usually wear Cliniques Almost Lipstick or Color Surge Butter Shine. Both feel like I'm wearing lip balm. And don't smell! That's what I hate most about lipstick!
I hate lipstick, but I am obsessed with Covergirl's new Outlast Lipstain. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Even for a lipstick hater like me. :)
Clinique Moisture Surge in Apple Brandy. I also like lip liners with glosses on top.
I'm actually really in love w/ my new MAC lipstick and I didn't think I would like them... I'm not normally a lipstick wearer.
I much more of a gloss wearer than lipstick. If I do wear lipstick, I use Clinique's Long Last Soft Shine lipstick. I like Creamy Nude or Satin Blush.
I also recommend the Covergirl Outlast Lipstain. The color REALLY lasts and it looks fantastic on. It can be a little drying, though, so you have to make sure your lips are moisturized.
If you're feeling dry I would recommend a lipgloss over a lipstick.
For a while, MAC Cosmetics had something called SLIMSHINE which was more of a lipstick/gloss formulation that was extremely hydrating.Like many things you love from that brand... they quickly discontinue things so you have to check on it.
If you are looking for some thing that lasts, I would recommend a color stay from Revlon or Covergirl... or even better a MAC PRO-LONGWEAR.
The prolongwear is a double sided lip product... one side is color and the other side is a gloss. It is only removed with baby oil, olive oil or oily foods.
However, the catch is.. that you have to re-apply the gloss from time to time otherwise you will get very dry.
Overtime the prolongwear may clump a little but it is far superior to the flaky covergirl.
No question..Lorac! Get it at sephora for like 19...best lipstick I have ever owned...handsdown. Non-drying, yet stays on all day!
When I DO wear lipstick -- which is rarely, I go with MAC (Twig is my fave color) or one of the Clinique tubes I have left over from bonuses I've gotten in the past.
Clinique Black Honey or Nars Belle de Jour or Benefit Benetint is what I wear. I like stains best, so I am super interested in those Covergirl lipstains august15bride suggested!
i am definitely a lipgloss gal not a lipstick... i usually can be found with at least 3 different lipglosses with me at all times. Today in my bag I have: stila (apricot), smashbox (fame), lancome (candy), laura mercier (bronzed berry) and philosophy (kiss, kiss, kiss)
Thanks for all the feedback so far, keep them coming, I'm still deciding, i def want a lipstick not a gloss, I like the liner and the control of the stick. The gloss gets to sticky and smudgy for me! I'm excited hopefully I can splurge a little and try some of these, thanks ladies
I have to be honest. I am a lip stain/liner wearer (usually in a nude or honey color or a deep pink for more color) and a gloss on top. My guy detests the lipstickey stuff and I have to admit. It feels like it's SOMETHING there that shouldn't be there.
I wear bright red lipstick all the time and my favourite brand is MAC. Lovely colours, stays on. I also love the chanel reds - really vibrant
I've used Cover Girl Outlast for years and love it. It dries out a little through the day, but you just re-apply the moisture stick.
Like bellenga, I am a lip stain girl.
I put it on in the morning and it lasts until dinnertime with no additional applications.
Last week I had a dentist appt 1.5 hours long (ouch!). The lip stain lasted from 8:30am through the appt + lunch until dinner around 6pm.
I get all my stains at www.BridalLipstick.com Dozens of shades and I can mix and match.
And it doesn't come off on my DBF. He likes this lots.
I'll never go back to regular lipstick.
Thanks everyone, I wound up buying a lip liner, lipstick and gloss a make up artist used at my trial. I didn't like the trial but I liked the colors so I got them. The gloss was put over the lipstick and added a nice touch, thanks for all the responses.
GretaEhm do you use lip liner with that? I got a cheapy one at CVS or something and I felt like it ran all over my lips and was smudgy and outta control. Any tips?

I wanted to hear people's favorite lipstick brands. It's not wedding related, I just want something that's very moisturizing, and will last. I don't mind reapplying throughout the day. I am looking for something to wear to the office, and then maybe something I could put over it, or reapply darker for evening, I'm just bored and need a new color!
