Im a big fan of pinks and i can get away with purple tones.. :) however I cannot get away with red.. it just does not suit whatsover!!
im a big clinique fan and even maybelline.. Id def do a road test at a chemist and just kinda figure what kind of pallette you like and maybe buy the cheaps ones.. then you know what kind of color to get then buy one in a reputable brand.
Thats what I did to roadtest my colors :)
hmmmm... what color is your hair and skin tone? That makes a big difference! Do you have a photo we could see?
I have dark brown hair/eyes and i have fair skin i guess.

The red looks great on you! I think it will look awesome especially with the birdcage veil it will give it a pretty vintagey look :)
I'm not sure if it's the best because I've never tried anything else, but I love my clinique lipstick. Also, I don't think it would be weird if you wore two different colors for ceremony and reception.
That red looks wonderful on you! It's not too over the top and over bearing. It's more natural and really compliments your hair and skin and certainly makes your eyes pop!

I've been wondering what color lipstick i should wear. Im planning on doing my makeup myself. My mom gave some redish/magenta colored lisptick a couple weeks ago and i tried it on and i kinda liked it. She wasnt sure she liked it so much and thought i should go with a more pinkish tone. My wedding colors are a taupe brown and a light pink. The red lispstick (maybe not that particular color) started to grow on me and im really starting to like it! My dress is style 1959 Casablanca and i plan on wearing a birdcage veil with my hair up with loose curles. I think the red lips would give it a more retro vintage look and thats kinda what im going for. Would it be weird to wear a light pink/natural color for the ceremony and a red for the reception? I kinda wanted my eyes to stand out but i dont want to look too made up with a lot going on with my eyes and then big bold red lips. I still have awhile to decide. What are y'alls thoughts on lip color and what are you wearing? Also know of any good brands that aren't sticky and gunky feeling?
