I don't wear lipstick - ever - so I went to my Mary Kay lady and she suggested that I use lip liner (covering my entire lip) and then lip gloss. I don't know if that will help with the "coming off" part, but I don't want to get used to wearing lipstick on my wedding day so I decided to go with that.
I would reccomend going to sephora and getting a lip stain or tint, putting it on once, and using a clear gloss for the rest of the day. My sister uses lip stains alot and they really DYE your lip. I don't think that color is going anywhere! Using a clear gloss over it (not immediatley, you have to let it soak in for a bit) will plump your lip and add shine if you want that, because the stain just colors.
Here's a link to the stains sephora sells (http://sephora.com/search/search_results.jhtml;jsessionid=CH2SMBELJBNQOCV0KQFRXCQ?command=text&attr1=lip+stain&attr2=&%2Fcom%2Flvmh%2Fcommerce%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch%2Fiphrase%2Fproxy%2FIPhraseSearchFormHandler.search=search&_D%3A%2Fcom%2Flvmh%2Fcommerce%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch%2Fiphrase%2Fproxy%2FIPhraseSearchFormHandler.search=+&searchString=lip+stain&_DARGS=%2Fincludes%2FsearchFinder.jhtml), sorry it's so long! You can also search lip tint on their site and it will bring up some other options. Good luck!
Chanel makes the best long lasting, stay put lipstick ever! Just go to the Chanel counter and tell them you want the long wearing gloss - it has one end with the color, and another end with a clear gloss that goes over it. I am wearing it for my wedding. I wore the coral color for my engagement photos and it lasted over 6 hours with kissing and eating. Seriously, this stuff is amazing AND it does not dry your lips like a lot of the lip stains and drugstore longwearing lipsticks. It is about $33.00 a tube, but it is worth every penny!
I have heard alot of rave reviews for MAC lipstick from the beauty board on the knot, I would go to their counter and test some out. Good luck!
urban decay has a lip stain as well that lasts and doesn't rub off. i'll probably do lip stain + gloss for the wedding, as i'm not a regular lipstick person.
MAC has a lip stain that works great..that's what I used for my wedding. One end is a clear gloss that you put over it throughout the day. Its called MAC Pro Longwear. Hope this helps :)

Loreal has a long wearing gloss that one of the Bee's blogged about a month ago or so. I had been looking for one (love gloss, hate lipstick)and ran out and tried it....it really does feel just like a gloss but it stays put for hours! And at $8 a tube, it's worht a shot!
I'm glad I read this!! I work for MAC as an educator in NYC....
We make a product called "Pro Longwear" thats an all day lipcolor. It doesn't move (literally!) However you may or may not love the feeling of it, as most longwear products tend to grab onto the lips and harden..I think the best bridal color in Pro Longwear is called "Hot Tomato", its looks like your lip color, just a bit more "bitten"..
MAC lipsticks work really great too-especially the "Satin" or "Matte" textures, as they're not so slippery..If you go to any MAC counter or store and look at the lipstick unit, they're categorized by texture so it will be really easy to locate.
Also check out the "Creamstick lipliners"..they are water resistant!
There's a ton of shades, you will be happy with all this variety, and lastly-if you don't want your man covered in your lipcolor, avoid doing a bold lip...
Like calicoteach I recommend the Chanel all day lipcolor (one end has the color and the other has the gloss). I just got some after a friend recommended it and it doesn't dry out your lips like other long wear lip colors tend to do and it is very long lasting without easily rubbing off.
i vouch for MAC Pro Longwear too! i don't wear lipstick at all and was surprised how natural it felt, how long it lasted (i could only take it off with make-up remover), and it doesn't stain (on lips! ;)! if you buy it at nordstrom you can always return it if you don't like it.

One thing I remember about my brother's wedding 4 years ago was that his new wife's lipstick was all over him (and it showed up in the pics). While it might be "cute" it's not a look I want for my wedding pics. Unfortunately, I noticed a similar trend when my FI and I took our E-pics.
Can someone recommend good lipcolor brand that stays put?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. In case you didn't already figure this out, I don't normally wear make-up.
