i think a lipstain stays put…. you may want to go to perhaps a makeup counter and ask for a lipstain. i think covergirl has a stay put lipstick as well.

I wore MAC Pro Longwear- it stays on VERY VERY well.  After the afterparty, I had to scrub it off with a washcloth and makeup remover (and I had only reapplied once the whole day).

Covergirl outlast!  It’s a stain, so it won’t come off, and it comes with a shiny clear top coat that you can reapply throughout the day.  Plus the colors are really vivid, which will work great if you want a RED red.

Thanks Osakagrl for starting this, I have been wondering myself and just hadn’t gotten around to posting. My FI hates when I wear gloss. As in really, really hates. I guess he doesn’t like the shiny pink lips it gives him! lol. I will have to try some of these out.

I second the Covergirl outlast.  It’s seriously awesome.  I bought it for a halloween costume (red) and it was IMPOSSIBLE to take off.  Just make sure you use the top coat because my lips were really really dry if I didn’t use it often.  It didn’t once come off on a cup or my fiance!

I wore red lipstick for my wedding, and it stayed on really well, but it did get a little on hubby’s lips when we kissed- then he kissed my cheek and it got on my cheek 🙂 So we learned early that we should keep the kisses clean, but I loved having red lips, and I wouldn’t change it for anything!

I also like the CoverGirl Outlast LipStain.  I did a review of this over the summer and it really lasts without losing color.  The only thing you have to watch is that it does dry your lips out a little, at least I notice it does mine.

At my wedding I wore a Revlon ColorStay Overtime color and it worked really well.  It lasted all day and didn’t get onto my husband, clothes, drinking glasses, etc.

I’ve been wearing a Nars matte lipstick and it’s really holding its own. It’s really more of a stain than a lipstick, so once it’s on, it doesn’t budge. Like others have mentioned, the stains are drying. I find it helpful to dab on some balm throughout the day.

I agree with a stain though too.  The only thing I’ve noticed though is that stains sort of make your lips sort of dry if you don’t apply something on top of them.

Glad I read this post, my FI doesn’t like when I wear lipstick, not because of how it looks, but he hates when it gets on him!

I like the Cover Girl lipstain, with some chapstick over it, so it doesn’t dry out my lips. But if you do use it, be sure to open a brand new one on your wedding day, I seem to notice after it’s open a few days to a week, the applicator tip dries out a little, and it doesn’t go on as easily.
