I just use a L'oreal type black eyeliner, but I love liquid eyeliner. Takes awhile to get used to, but I love that i can get a smaller, cleaner line on my upper eyelid than using a stick liner. I use brown or gray frequently, too, for day. I don't do the dramatic liquid look, though.
I don't use liquid but a gel liner by Bobbie Brown (the Long Wear Gel Liner). It's AMAZING...and trust me I've tried many many different types of liner, liquid, pencil and powder. This is by far my favorite.
i second whfields about bobbie brown long wear gel liner! it's hands down the best eye liner i've ever used. i tried it for the first time 2 years ago and haven't used anything else since.
i loooooooooove almays liquid liner. its the best for me and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes :)
I also use the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner. Sometime I use MAC liquid liner if I want a fun color.
Actually, the best eyeliner ever is the gel liner in the pot from Wet N Wild. it's like 3.99 at the drug store and it stays FOREVER. I have a hard time getting it off when I try to wash it off.

I use the Kat von D kind, and while it does stay on (for the most part) what I most like about it is that if I rub my eyes too much (a bad habit of mine) it comes off instead of smudging. My other pencil eyeliners tend to smudge and so I end up looking ridiculous instead of just looking like my eyeliner is missing, which is far 'nicer' looking.
I have some avon that I just bought, I wanted the color to be honest. I haven't been able to use it. But my fall back favorite is my maybelline line stiletto in blackest black.
I like Benefits cake liner the best and apply it with their Get Bent brush. Easy to apply & stays on w/o smudging.
I like Liquidlast by MAC. It stays put and doesn't come off even if you wash your face or go swimming, this is a feature I particularly like because I have oily skin and most eye pencils/liners end up running on me. I also like that the Liquidlast line by MAC comes in a bunch of funky colors :)
Gel liner! I use Stila gel liner and an angled brush, and it's my favorite make-up product now. I used to use pencils, but hated how they rubbed off after a half day. Then I tried liquid, but I just wasn't able to draw the straight line for some reason. The gel liner is perfect for me. It lasts all day, and it's easier to put on because it's thicker than liquid. It took a few tries to get it right the first time, but now it's like second nature. It also has the same effect as liquid. This is what I use:

What liquid eyeliner do the bees favor? I'm thinking of trying it out but I'd like to hear what kind people think works best.
