I don’t wear alot of makeup. My daily routine consists of an eyelash curler and lip balm. Very minimal. I have hired a makeup artist to apply makeup at my wedding in August and I had my trial yesterday. The makeup looked great, it just was heavy and I was shiny. The makeup was MAC.
My wedding and reception will take place in the afternoon on what I am guessing will be a hot August day. I am wondering what kind of foundation would be best suited for a hot, humid day and still be good for photos (liquid, powder, other solutions)?

I think a lot has to do with preference, your skin type, etc. If I were you, I would try few different types/brands at make up counters. Any major department store has them. Also, make up might feel a bit heavier just because you are not used to it, but you need a little something so your skin looks flawless and not washed out in the pictures.
Personally, I love primer by Smashbox. It’s colorless silicone base that you apply after moisturizer and before foundation/powder. It makes your skin smooth without feeling heavy. I use it every day under powder and when I go out under foundation and powder. I think it also makes make up stay on longer.

I agree with petunka, there’s alot to consider about your skin type and how different foundations will wear on you and what is comfortable as well. I second Smashbox primer, I absolutely love it and was amazed when I first started using it! As far as photos go, just make sure to not OD on any shimmer products too much, then you will definitely look shinier!
