How cool is that?! I vaguely remember the episode. But how cool is that that it's this year?!
I know, right?! It's so awesome, because they almost never mention years outright. Stuff like "20 years in the future" or "back in the 70s" is not uncommon, but a specific future year is rare!
The calendar finally caught up to them!! ^_^

I loved this episode! It was just so cute. When Marge gave Lisa a chunk of her hair I totally teared up a little.
@crebre - LOL, that'd be so hilarious! Imagine if they have an episode this season or next where the family goes to England and little Lisa sees older Lisa and her fiance walking by or something? Tons of lulz.
That's great- I remember when this first aired! She would actually be getting married on my birthday - and less than one week before my own wedding! Craziness ;-)

I love that show! XOXO. I was literally JUST talking to someone about how bad-ass maggie is in all of the flash-forward episodes. Ha!

Anyone here remember that episode? Lisa's Wedding was an episode in the sixth season of The Simpsons (aired in 1995). I saw a rerun of it a couple days ago and it gave me some warm and fuzzy feelings, because this used to be (and still is!) one of my top favoritest Simpsons episodes ever. It's also one of the few flash-forward episodes where they actually state a year.
And in what year is Lisa's wedding supposed to happen? 2010 :o
According to snpp, the date of Lisa's wedding is Sunday, August 1st, 2010, at 1pm. Anyone here share that date? :D

Her something old was her pearl necklace, her something new was her wedding dress, her something borrowed was a brooch that belonged to Hugh's mother, and her something blue was a chunk of Marge's hair!
Heee, I wonder if they'll make a reference to this in an episode this year? Lisa should be 23 and getting married this year, and yet she's still in second grade!
