From your other post, I was going to suggest his mom should be listed before his stepdad however etiquette states a man should not be separated from his last name so it's up to you! On our programs I stated his mom before his stepdad.

My invite dilemma has been solved! I was able to do some creative editing and make room to add "son of........" after groom's name. Now no one should have a reason to be upset! I had to use their shortened names, ie. Mike instead of Michael, but that was the only way. Probably not the most proper thing to do etiquette-wise, but I did what I had to.
Now for my next issue.... How to list his parents.
We're not using "Mr. and Mrs. Parentsofthegroom" since it seemed a little too formal for us. Is that wrong? His dad and stepmom are listed as "Mike and Sara Groom'slastname." No problems there.
On the draft, I have his mom and stepdad listed as "Dan and Amy Stepdad'slast name." Is that the correct way to list them? My mom mentioned maybe it should be "Amy and Dan Stepdad'slastname" since Amy is his mom, but she wasn't sure. How should I list them?
