I am looking for some nice practical bridesmaids gifts preferably something simple and nice but not too cheap looking, I got a heart shaped necklace in a wedding once, she knew I was getting married and I asked her to put my fiancees last name on there and she said no, so I wont ever wear it again. Any ideas maybe pearls? any websites please post your ideas Thanks <3s

Are you set on jewelry?  I got my bridesmaids the Deluxe Fragrance Sampler as their gift from Sephora.  It is $50 plus right now if you enter coupon code FLOWERCLUTCH you get a free cute metallic clutch with a flower on it and samples inside. (You have to order each set seperately to get a clutch for each girl but there's free shipping on them too right now!).  I'm doing that and then for their jewelry just getting something really inexpensive on sale after Christmas (a simple silver pendant or something).

Oh I forgot to explain the fragrance sampler - it comes with 12 vials of Sephoras popular perfumes and then a voucher the girls can trade in for a full size bottle of their choice (out of the 12).  So fun!

Josephine I had a similar problem.  My MOH and sister are very simple women who aren't into clothes, makeup, jewelry etc.

They're both very practical mommies so I ended up getting them something a little more personal.

I went to "Things Remembered" and got these great heart locket keychains for $14.99 each.

    http://www.thingsremembered.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_9951_584966_-1_1?fcref=&dev=True&storeId=10001&catalogId=9951&langId=-1&linkContent=Catalog+Search+Results&pageSize=10&beginIndex=0&sType=SimpleSearch&domain=www.thingsremembered.com&resultCatEntryType=2&ip_requestUri=ProductDisplay&ip_categoryId=3002&ip_mode=&ip_perPage=10

I put a picture of their sons on the inside and engraved their initials on the front of the locket and my own personal message on the back.

    They both loved them.

Good luck and congrats to you too.

Try overstock.com for some cute clutches, jewelry... or a great practical gift is a robe and matching slippers. I mean, who doesn't love a soft plush robe?!

@KArthur I'm looking for more perfume myself... I may buy this for myself, from santa. Heck yes, what a great deal!

I'm probably going to get my MOH a clutch to match her dress and a pashmina.

Definitely check out Etsy - just type in bridesmaid gift in the serach box and a bunch of beautiful stuff comes up.

I got my 'maids beautiful customized stationary because they both love to write letters to people, and I enclosed a personal letter to each of them. My sister (the MOH) is a chef, and people who eat at her house are constantly asking for her recipes - so I got her customized stationary that she loves - she's already run out  so this will be a great Christmas gift!

My friend gave out hot pink terry cloth robes with all the girls initials on them. They looked sooo nice and were very luxurious. Pearls I think are a very pretty gift also, maybe necklace and earring sets, if you can find some that are not too expensive.

I like the idea of practical gifts, especially if they don't really wear jewelry (although I don't think you can go wrong with pearls).  :)  I posted some fun and practical gift ideas on my blog recently, that I give for hostess gifts.  Good luck!

I like the idea of giving practical gift "collections".  For example, you could get your girls a super cute apron from anthropologie (http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=983144&parentid=BAYNOTE and a fun cookbook (http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=790&f=28703).  I would LOVE this as a gift!

I got a very nice set of pearls as a gift one time, and while I sincerely appreciated the gesture of a "classic" gift (not to mention the expense!), I have never worn them since the day of the wedding.  I guess I am glad I have pearls... but I am not sure I'll ever wear them.

I got each girl charm bracelets w/ 5 charms, that reminded me of them (either something we did, the way we met, memories) and the 5th charm was a cowboy boot to remind them of me & being part of our Texas wedding. I wrote out a card to each girl explaining the meaning of each charm & they just LOVED them!
