Mine is short and sweet. My husband was there for me during the hardest time in my life (losing my mother and not really wanting to finish high school).

So, I don't know about the rest of you ladies, but every once in a while I'm reminded of all the reasons I'm going through all this wedding planning hooplah--or rather, the one reason: my FI in all his wonderfulness. So I thought perhaps we could start a thread with little stories about moments our FI's remind us of why we've decided to spend the rest of our lives with them. Here's mine, from late last night.
My FI is pursuing his dual degree at a great university--he's getting his MD/PhD which basically means he's going to be in school for the rest of his life. He's the most dedicated person I know, the only downside of which is that I don't see him a lot when there's a test coming up. He's got a test on Wednesday. Late last night, I was cleaning up the kitchen after making dinner, following a long day of cleaning, grocery shopping, and generally being all alone while he spent 9 hours in an anatomy lab with lots of cadavers. It should be added that I'm also PMSing, so I wasn't super happy. I asked him if he was going back to the lab the next day, and his response was: "Well, that's a silly question." (This did very little for my mood.) I gave him a "look." When I turned to look at him, he was smiling, and he said: "No, seriously. That's like me asking you, 'Hey, are you planning on looking beautiful and being brilliant tomorrow?' It's a given, it's obvious, so it's silly to ask." And then I melted. :) No matter how long the day, or how crappy I feel....he swoops right in and makes everything perfect.
Come on, bees, share!
