Ok so I’m freshly engaged but we are planning to be married no later than October so and preferably in August
So I’m in mad planning mode.
Anyway, I’m wondering about my little sister, she will only be 14 at the time of the wedding. Is she too young to be a bridesmaid?
I also have two cousins I want to include in some way, they will be 13 and 11…
should I make all three of them Jr. bridesmaids? I don’t even know how I feel about jr. bridesmaids but I think it’s the only way to include them all..

I don’t think they’re too young! Particularly if you are young yourself. It’s totally appropriate to have your sister as a maid!

Agreed. Not too young at all. And you should have your sister as a Jr. Maid DEFF. Could you have the cousins hand out programs or something?? show people to their seats, instead of “boys” doing it?

@All In: I’m 23 I agree my sister isn’t quite too young, but is having only two jr bridesmaids ok? And I don’t want the other two to feel like they got the slip because they truly are like my little sisters too….and we will probably have 5 groomsmen and 5 bridesmaids I know it doesnt have to be an even number, but I prefer it be that way. And I have a few friends I’d like to include lol.

I was a teen and stood in my sisters wedding. I would include her as a bridesmaid and have the other cousins included in some other way.

I would say to chose those who are closest to you! Have you thought about having them be flower girls? i think it was 12 and under as a good flower girl age.

I would have all three of them as Jr. Bridesmaids! Then they are all equal and feel included 🙂
