When Mr. D and I first got engaged, we were looking around Des Moines as possible sites since that is where I am originally from. One such place was http://www.candlelitwayweddingchapel.com/directions.html nears Dallas Center. It's about 30 minutes outside of DSM.

Recently engaged and not in love with the idea of a big wedding.. its a long story.. cause I ONCE was!!.. now the idea makes me ill. I would like a small family ONLY wedding in a church FI is really pushing the church thing.. but Im Catholic and he is Methodist & we never actually attend church.. so?? and I'm not sure that we want a super religous wedding anyhow? I looked into courthouse wedding here in good ol' DSM.. cause I thought ~HEY! Carrie Bradshaw did it~..?? I googled found a u-tube video and it was not something I would want. I am looking for a cute old antiqueesque chapel/church to get married in. Im not from the area so I havent a CLUE. Suggestions are SOOO very welcome.
