Wow. The cheapest we found here in Tampa Bay was $2500. How many pieces is the band?
its 4... small but for us its more about the vibe. We almost wanted a "down the shore" beach band vibe. Not necessarily like "beach boys" music but something a little less up tight.
I guess it comes to about 400 per hour - or - 400 per band member. I didn't think it sounded too bad but wanted some comparisons!
GaBGal- I think that's pretty cheap. Around here, there was nothing we could find for less than $3,000-- which is exactly why we are using an ipod instead!
That is a good price for that piece band. I've gotten quotes here in Texas and they have been anywhere from 2,000 to 10,000 depending on the size band and the style. I.e. Country music vs. Jazz Band
Good to know! They all have pretty good "day" jobs... college professors and stuff so I think its just a side gig. Unfortunately the other bands in the area just seems to be way up on the cheesiness factor!

We just got a quote on a band in upstate NY for $1600... just looking for some national comparisons. Anyone?
