Music is incredibly important to me and FI. We were both very excited when we booked our live musicians- a classical guitarist and cellist duo. Cello and classical guitar are our favorite instruments!
They will perform during our cocktail hour (which we will not be around to enjoy- we will be taking pics then)- so I wanted them to play during dinner as well.
Then, the DJ can take over when we cut the cake and serve dessert…I thought that would be a good transition time to liven things up.
There will be 5 courses before dessert and I am wondering if it is kind of boring to have the classical live music that whole time…I would prefer to keep the live musicians during dinner because I want to enjoy the music and I think it would be classy and beautiful. BUT I don’t want it to set a dull tone for the event…
I think they can play more upbeat, spanish music, etc- it doesn’t all have to be heavy classical music…
What do you think? Keep the music during dinner the way I would like to? Or should I just have them for cocktail hour?
