I absolutely spend more time then EVER before at Michaels and Hobby Lobby...but nobody has called me by my first name...yet ;)
lol, they know me by name their too. Even some of the customers think I work there. I was there yesterday and got the last cuttlebug that they had in stock. It was on sale, so I couldn't resist. :-)
I have to go back there tomorrow, so yeah, the DIY is taking up way too much time.
lol that's pretty funny - i know i spend too much time there when i know the store layout better than the employees. i try to avoid the whole first name basis by mixing it up with the michaels i go to and sometimes i throw an ac moore into the mix.
A few weeks ago when they had 60% off coupons, I developed a whole route home from work that took me past 3 Michael's so I could use as many coupons as possible. I think my family started to think I was crazy :)
they haven't called me by name yet, but with 6 months to go still, they just might! lol.
LOL! I usually get a "see you tomorrow" if they have a 50% off coupon week. I love how they suck you in with those...
@Bethesda, I live in Rockville, and the lack of craft stores in the area drives me crazy! I like that AC Moore over in North Bethesda, but really that's it. Where are the Michaels you are visiting? Are they a pretty decent size?
waahahaha i love michael's too but i dont go there as often as you do! there isn't a michael's in San francisco, so i have to drive like 30min to get to one.
there's a 40% off coupon today, hope you got to take advantage of that. i'm too lazy to get out of my house right!
I have 2 within 10minutes of me.....I used a 40%off coupon today and a 50%off one a few days ago. Sometimes I think I'm crazy for doing all of these DIY projects but with a small budget it will give me the look I'm going for.
Luckily, they don't recognize me because I usually make at least two trips inside for every visit so I can max out the coupons. I used 9 of those 50% off coupons at a total of four different Michael's. (One by work, one between work and home, and two by my house.)
I still need to buy some cardstock for menus and programs, some felt for programs, a whole mess of moss and 7 round centerpiece mirrors. But I'm getting SO close to having it all purchased. Everything else I'm using for the wedding will be coming from Amazon.
They will start calling me by name soon. Gonna hit the store again tomorrow with another 40% off coupon to stock up on mini glue stix.
I love it there. I've taken a couple of their classes, so they definitely know me by name. That's actually not good though, before I could go in multiple times a in a row to use coupon after coupon. Now I actually have to stick to the "one-a-day" rule, lol. Seriously, I can drop more money there than any other store in town, it's not good!
I wish they'd make a special "Bridal Coupon" and just let us get our 40% off all at once! You know we'd still be back for all the other little add-ons, but can you imagine the time saved (and the receipt paper!) if we could just do as much as possible at once?
oh, that bridal coupon idea is tops. I hate having to go in over and over again. I actually returned something this week and didin't bring any coupons to buy more stuff. It felt very strange to walk out of a Michael's empty handed.
