Darling Husband and I have completely separate sets of tupperware. I have all of my pretty ziplock brand in one cabinet, and he has a huge set of mis-matched pieces and old carry-out containers in another one. You can tell who put away the leftover on any given night by which set was used.
We also use separate towels from our own sets. We just like the feel of our own over the other persons, and they’re perfectly good towels, so theres no use throwing them out to buy a matching set. I know Darling Husband is way behind on his laundry when I see him using one of mine!
Anything you other bees keep irrationally separate?

We sleep with different comforters. He likes to wrap up like a cocoon so we cant share.
And we like different toothpaste brands. But we do share toothbrushes.
Other than that not much that I can think of. Underwear 🙂

Desks and computers I have my own workspace in our bedroom and his in the living room each has its own scanner and printer and storage area for all our junk.

We each have our own bathroom so pretty much everything bathroom related is separate. We buy 2 different kinds of toilet paper, 2 different kinds of toothpaste and 2 different kinds of hand soap. We also each have different pillows (mines firmer and his feels like a cloud). Other than that, everything is shared.

yeah, pillows are the big thing here. I have neck/back problems, so I’m suppppper picky about my pillows, and he thinks I’m crazy. I put different inner covers on them though, so I know they won’t ever get mixed up on laundry day, hahaha. Other than that, I can’t really think of anything that would be considered unusual!
We aren’t toothbrush sharers, but he uses all my stuff in the shower (except right now he’s using a bottle of shampoo I didn’t like, haha), including my girly smelly shower gel! If it’s really expensive, I tell him not to use it and he doesn’t.
He wanted to keep our books on separate bookshelves when we moved, but I was like, “um, we’re going to live together for the rest of our lives. When are you worried about having to separate them out exactly?” and he saw the light.
One thing: we have identical macbooks, and we both fuss at each other if we use each others’, haha. They’re set up sooooo differently! I put a sticker on mine so we can keep them apart, because we got annoyed with always grabbing the wrong one.

We have separate comforters as well. My husband likes a duvet, which I hate. We also keep all of your bathroom products separate, but I think most do that.

We have completely separate shelves in the bathroom and different racks in the shower, but I kind of think that’s normal. We have different cups in the kitchen that we like to use. (I prefer glass, he prefers plastic.) But, if it’s dish-washing day then we’re not that picky.

Our 2nd bedroom is split in half. One half is HIS art/painting area and the other half is my crafting/sewing and get ready in the morning area. Things CANNOT cross lol. Aside from that we have different shelves for bathroom items.

@lefeymw: & @Miss BooBoo: we have separate blankets too! i thought we were the only crazy ppl who did that! =)

We have different comforters too! It works out really well. We also have separate sides of the bed. Sometimes I come on over if we are getting into bed at the same time, but we are so desperate for sleep…
We have our own closets, which is probably common. It is great!
Oh- and we have our own computers.

haha nothing now that i think of it!

We have a mutual hatred of the other person’s pillows. Mine are fluffy. His are concrete slabs. He uses Colgate toothpaste, whereas I’m a Crest sort of gal. I like Kleenex, while he prefers Puffs, but I’m winning that battle, as our apartment currently contains only Kleenex.

we literally have our own sides of the couch…this is going to make us sound sooo awful…but he is usually leaned up on his arm, me on the other and we’re stretched out under the same big ol’ blanket. But he hates it if I sit on his side!!!!
We each have our own computers, own toothbrushes, own toothpaste. Most of my morning routine is in the other bathroom, so my stuff is essentially in there.
And our glasses–I prefer one type of glass to drink out of and he prefers the other, so we have both!!!

Really nothing that I can think of! I have a coffee mug that only I use, but that’s really it!

The only thing I can think of that’s a little weird is that sometimes we have different versions of the same foods–so I’ll have light bread, he’ll have regular bread; I’ll have light butter, he’ll have regular (real) butter; I use skim milk, he uses lactaid milk; he likes Kraft mac & cheese and I will only eat Annie’s.
That’s about it, I think, apart from the usual suspects–his/hers clothes etc.
