Start by looking in your closet. Do you see lots of neon bright colors? Jewel tomes? Pastels? Browns? Black and white? Whatever you see is what you actually like, not what shelter mags and design blogs tell you that you should like. Then go to houzz.com and search for living rooms in those colors. add them to your design book. Just go for what you like. Don’t analyze at this point in time. Go for gut feelings. Once you’ve saved a lot of images to your design book, go back an analyze the specifics of each image. What draws you to them. Write down what you like about each one, then look back and pick out the common themes. And now you’ll have a color scheme and design elements that appeal to you. Good luck!

I don’t have any pictures of our living area, and it certainly isn’t done up nicely (we rent), but pinterest has a ton of pictures for inspiration.

check out websites with houses for sale with existing tenants/ owner occupied. The photos on there might give you some inspiration

@lisha_1988:  certainly but it’s nice to dream lol 😉 and I think you can get some inspiration for color schemes at least, sorry I couldn’t be more help.
