I DIYed my bouquet faux-quet this weekend because I came across a great sale at Hobby Lobby for 50% off all stems. I grabbed up all the true touch flowers I needed and ran home to get started!

I took pictures of the process and posted a little tutorial goodness over on my blog if you're interested in how I put it together, what it cost or would just like to see more pics! :)

    I love my bouquet!!

So pretty!  I really love that deal ribbon, it really pops against the white.

It's lovely!  I like the teal, too, and the matching pins.  It's all in the details!  :o)

    OOo i love it's called a faux-quet! I made my own, too

I'm thinking about pulling together a small bouquet of white roses for some up-close pics with my rings, though, and to toss a "bouquet". I kinda wanna keep the fake one for sentimental reasons =]. You could get a small bouquet of roses from trader joe's for real cheap....i tried balancing my rings on the fake bouquet and you can see the threading in the material.

Hehe! I'm so glad you all like it!

I'm glad you knew it was teal too. Fiance went with me when I got the ribbon and he was like, "Isn't that green?" I was hoping he was just being a boy.

@Yorkie: Yay! Someone noticed my matching pins! hehe What the luck that they matched perfectly! hehe

@ ejs: That is a great point! However, the flowers I used are real touch and they're actually like a latex or something, so there aren't any threads! The hydrangeas might just be coated with the latex, though, but it's really hard to tell. :)

@mary-alice-me: I will be making more! I am going to make bridesmaids ones, corsages/wristlets for the moms and grandmas, and boutonnieres for the men.

I haven't decided if I'm going to use real or fake flowers for the centerpieces though. What do you ladies think?

theyre gorgeous!  For the centerpieces, Id price out what the real version would cost versus the fake verions and go with what is cheaper - IF the difference in cost is worht the hours to assemble it.  For mine (I was debating between DIY fresh flowers or florist) it would have been cheaper to DIY, but I honestly didnt have the time to assemble in the days leading up to.  The time was worht my money in that case.  But those are unbelievable (er...superbelievable actually LLauRRa's Bouquet - Fake never looked so good! : wedding flowers bouquet diy tutorial Icon Wink), they look SO REAL!!  I wish we had a Hobby Lobby here in NYC, I always see people raving about them on Weddingbee!
