If you don’t mind the LLBean ones, and they’re more of a symbol of who you are, then go for it! I voted for getting wedding flip flips though. I had super hot shoes, but they were 4 inch heels and killed my feet. I changed into wedding flip flops later, and they were cute and comfortable! I just thought they looked better with the dress than the ones I wear on a normal basis.

People will probably notice your shoes as your walking, so I’d gussy up for at least the ceremony by wearing fancier flip flops.

Wear flip flops! But go for prettier/finer ones. The LL bean ones look pretty utility…

My favourite ball outfit ever was when I wore a fully sequinned sheath with flip flops – I loved it, and felt great.

I don’t know what your equivalent of Monsoon/Accessorize is, but some kind of light, pretty flip flop might be the way forward…like these:

Oops, didn’t read your poll properly – I think barefoot would be pretty cool!!

I would just buy some pretty flat sandals.  There are tons available.  People will notice and as a previous poster said, LL Bean is very utility and unelegant.  I didn’t vote because I also don’t like those designated bridal flip flops they carry  at DB, (they just look sort of cheesy/pedestrian to me)

Honestly, I don’t think anyone will be looking at your feet on your wedding day.

My aunt wore sneakers under her wedding dress because they were comfortable and she didn’t think people would notice. They did. If you don’t care that people will see it and you want to keep your flip flops go for it, but if your worried abuot what people will say and pictures that may be taken, I’d go with something nice.

If you’ve got your heart set on the LLBean, what about making them pretty? There are a few tutorials on here for making heels bling-y; you could buy a new pair of LLBean flip flops and bedazzle the crap out of them. Comfort + pretty!

ETA: or what about a shoe like this?

I agree that you should wear nice wedding-y flip flops (white or a metallic) rather than the LLBean ones. There are tons of comfortable, stylish, affordable options—I’m sure you’ll find something gorgeous!

I really don’t understand the whole “I’m going to spend $$$$$$ on a dress, and then wear $5 shoes” thing. I would, at minimum, buy some beautiful flat shoes. Your wedding is worth getting dressed up for. It doesn’t mean you have to wear uncomfortable shoes (i’m wearing very comfy flats too!), but if the occasion warrants a gown, it warrants real shoes.

The question you should ask yourself…do you care what other people think?

Wear the LL Bean ones.  As you probably already know..they have different colors and designs on them.  Plus they are soooooooo comfortable.  I can’t tell you how many I have.

Wear them and wear them proudly.

My best friend wore the Rainbow white flipflops with rhinestones for her wedding and no one said anything negative at all.

I am all about comfy shoes.  However, walking up the aisle with the slapping sound that flip flops make (regardless of how they look) would not be a good thing.  Buy some nice flats or very low heels.  Save the flip flops for dancing.
