Wow, that's a lot on floral!! I have no recommendations because I am super-slacking on planning, but just wanted to shout out from an Aventura bride-- I'm getting married May 23, 2009 in Ft. Lauderdale. You're right, the So Fla boards are dragging :)
Do you already have your dress? Where did you get it from?

I'm using Field of Flowers for my Coconut Grove wedding...though I'm not sure if they do flowers in Key Largo. I think the showroom is located in Ft. Lauderdal, though.
Do you have any recommendations for music? Someone suggested James Productions. Have you ever heard of them?
I haven't heard of James Productions. I'm currently just starting my search for music, and I'm planning on DJ, so I will let you know as soon as I pick them.
Thanks for the florist recommendation. I've heard of Field of Flowers-- are they pretty reasonable in price for what you get?
I found Field of Flowers the most reasonable. Again, the store is pretty amazing...they'll have a huge selection for whatever you're envisioning.
Music is so important so I'm trying to find out whatever I can. Please send along any info you find.
Have you though about color themes?

Hi! I have a recommendation for floral that is really inexpensive. Aprons event planning through Publix...yes, the grocery store. I am going through them for the second time and they are at least 1/2 of what I thought I would have to spend to get flowers for everyone and centerpieces.

I have the best dj, they are called Party Time DJ and they also do photography. One of my girlfriends got married last year and she had them for her dj and they were great. The guy she had is named Jeff and I booked him for my wedding. They are located in Davie, but my wedding is in Delray and they cover that area so I bet they cover Key Largo. Anyways they are really good. If you go in tell them Jennifer Jordan recommended you and that should get you a better deal since I am already booked with them. They told me they would take care of my friends that were getting married also since I have a good amount of girlfriend engaged and planning now. Best of luck!
Have you guys found any great bridal shops to get a dress at? I am on the search for a beautfil elegant but very simple dress.

Hi Brides! I know that some of the other local boards are hopping, but the South Florida board seems to be pretty slow. I KNOW there are lots of South FL brides out there, so I thought I'd start a new post so that everyone can introduce themselves.
I'm hoping that we can all share info...
I'll start... my wedding is May 9th, 2009 in Key Largo (but I'm planning from Ft Lauderdale). I have a photographer, but am currently looking for a DJ, videographer, and florist.
Budget wise- I'd ilke the DJ to be around 1k, Videographer about 1500, and florist around 4k...
Any recommendations???
