Have you looked at Mrs.Cream Puffs posts? She did a lot of cool illustrations.
Also, she does a lot of design work and has lots of cool stuff on her design blog (http://stinkerpants.com).
Mrs. Avocado included a map theme with her invite:

I ended up drawing my own map for my save the dates- I color copied it onto regular computer sized paper and made my own envelope out of the map- with the front side being the map, the back side looking like a postcard, and the inside has our save the date magnets

So I know that many people incorporate maps with their invitation to give directions and what not, but today I had the idea that we could literally have a map that folds down to a business sized envelope and opens to a map that shows important locations as well as the invite info and all other information.
Now...where do I start? Right now I am considering putting an alchemy request out on Etsy or drawing it myself.
Has anyone else done this? If so, I'd love some advice and/or pictures. Thanks, in advance! :)
