    Hi,

Any suggestions for a fun location to take wedding pictures in the Downingtown / West Chester / Malvern area?

We were thinking the Valley Forge National Park but we are way too late to get a permit.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Are there any interesting spots at West Chester University?

I'm in Thorndale, but I don't know the surrounding area very well.

We actually lucked out and got a permit from Valley Forge Natioanl Park. We are doing them at the Arch.

We just did our engagement shots at the arch.  Valley Forge park is so beautiful for pictures.

You need a permit for taking pictures at Valley Forge, why?  Is that true of a lot of places?  Would you need one for engagement photos?  Just curious, it seems odd to need a permit to have pictures taken in a public space.

we got ours done at valley forge park and they turned out great! you do need the permit, i cant remember if it was 50 or 75 dollars. but our photographer was familiar with the park and applied for the permit a couple days before the shoot. how far in advance did they say you needed to apply for it?

My friends had their engagement photos taken at Valley Forge and they didn't get a permit.  Probably depends on how long you'll be there and how strict the rangers are that day.
