When my FI proposed May 2012, we chose this spot for a Ceremony IMMEDIATELY! We knew we wanted an outdoors Ceremony, and we are very outdoorsy and particularly into exploring the many waterfalls in CNY.
We snatched this place up and I’m super excited! But, I have my concerns:
How should I decorate? I think that less is probably more, because of the beautiful surroundings.
Only 2/3rds of the steps are pictured here. I am going to be CLINGING to my dad’s arm on the way down, and hanging on very tightly to my new husbands arm on the way up!
So….where do the guests go? We are not the first to marry here, and as others before us have done, we plan to have the guests line the steps, and a couple sit at the very top of the stairs. There will be a little less than 100 guests.
Lighting. I am super worried that all of the tree cover will prevent beautiful photographs! I am crossing my fingers that my photographer will make it work!
So, let me know what you think! I would LOVE your advice!

The only thing I would do is scatered rose petals. The place is beautiful and I think fabrics would be out of place in such a natural setting. Flower pots along the stairs will be hidden by your guests so not really worth the money IMO.
Congradulations on finding such a unique spot!

@BecomingMrsBolyard: In my opinion draping tulle or white fabric would look completely out of place with your background. I would instead suggest adding pops of colors that contrast with all the green. Like pops of yellow flowers for example. You can adjust the flower colors to fit the colors of your wedding but I would just add flowers to add color and so it doesn’t look as bare. I love the natural greenery of your venue btw 🙂

I would do nothing. Everything you do will be dwarfed by the scenery.
ETA This couple actually has flower arrangements but they don`t show in the pic at all.

Amazing!!! Maybe just some vases or pots of flowers on the wall right behind where you’ll be standing? But I also agree with Julies1949 that the photo she posted is stunning with just the scenery.

@Honu: and @Blush.Champagne: I’m so glad you mentioned the fabric looking out of place. I hadn’t really realized that until I read your opinions! Thank you so much! I think I will stick to adding lots of white flower petals at the very bottom. It just seems too easy!

@julies1949: Thanks for the picture! You’re right, the decorations are completely hidden. And that couple even fit a large bridal party in, too!

That is gorgeous! Hope you’re not planning on wearing heels! I would leave it all natural, maybe some petals as others have said. But if it doesn’t need it- why go to the time and effort?
