I can do pretty much any location. I'm not sure what's in the middle - so just let me know what works for everyone.
Technically, isn't Wilsonville or Woodburn in the middle?
Salem is about 1/2way in the middle, since it's about 1 hour from Portland and 1 hour from Eugene.
Salem might be a good idea we would have a few choices of places to meet up!
@mittens111211: I would be ok with woodburn but the only thing we have here is the mall and walmart (well and some really yummy mexican resturants)
But yes I am pretty sure salem would be the middle...
So I was wondering Do we want to just do dinner and chatting or do we want to try something a bit more fun like Bowling or mini golf? I am trying to put together a list of possible places that we could go so we can vote on it!
Personally I'm more of a food and drink type of girl, so that's what I would prefer! :-)
I would prefer dinner/drinks as well.
I agree on dinner and drinks actually lol... Anyone have any suggestions to resturants?
Well I always love Wild Pear in Salem, amazing food and good prices, but they're only open until 5:30pm. I know I can meet up before 5:30 as long as it's a Mon-Thurs (I work weekends!)! Anyone else?
I'll probably be able to meet around 7:30 on weekdays. I can make anytime on weekends.
OOO if we're doing Salem what about Konditerei's?? They have super yummy cakes, and if we meet around 7:30 on a weekday we could just do desserts and drinks/decaf coffees and such. They also have real food (sandwiches, salads etc) if anyone wanted to order dinner there
@chipmunklove: I know we have a few girls that need it later than 5:30! Add this to my list of reasons i hate that they close so early lol...
@chipmunklove: sounds yummy. I love cake!
We could also do http://frenchpressroasters.com/menu.html French press they are bigger and have super yummy crepes and a few other food options.
ETA they are only open until 8... sorry...
Christo's in Salem is pretty good pizza etc.
of course they don't have a website and I have no idea if they are open late as I only go for lunch..
I work in Salem live in Portland, I usually car pool but might be willing to drive solo for the meetup!
@Lexy: If everyone gets together a list of resturants as ideas I can do the calling and see if they would be ok with a group of us going and closing times!
So What do you girls think about The ram in salem oregon here is the menu http://theram.com/images/menus/oregonDinner.pdf
I was thinking and if we really have about 10 of us going like planned the Konditerei's is just not going to be big enough :( The ram has Super yummy food and pretty good prices! and I cant be the only one wanting to try fried pickles lol!
We can also do Padingtons pizza http://padingtons.com/menu.htm
Adams rib smoke house http://adams-rib-smoke-house.com/menu.html
Fuji rice time http://www.fujiricetime.com/menu/dinnermenu_fujiricetime.pdf
Or Sushi Kyo http://www.sushi-kyo.com/menu
I can come up with more options too!
I LOVE fried pickles (well, anything fried - I am from the South afterall) so I'm in for The Ram. Sounds yummy!
@misskoala: I was drooling over the menu and they have a good drink selection and some really yummy desserts too!
@MsPanda: I've been there several times-- I would say their regular food is pretty good, but their desserts are AMAZING! (At least the one I've had there, it was pretty stellar
). They can be kind of loud sometimes since it's defintely got a sports focus (lots of TVs!), but they are definitely big enough!
@chipmunklove: From the last count I had I think we are up to 11 Bees coming and we might be able to time it right that there is no game? And Yes I was looking at the desserts and I dont know how im going to choose lol...
anyone wanna carpool. I could meet up in Beaverton-ish. I'd pay for some gas. I don't know Salem places.
@creativeplannertobee: If someone picked me up in woodburn I would be willing to chip in for gas!
@creativeplannertobee: I'm in Beaverton - I can carpool. I'm not familiar with Salem either so we can figure it out together.
@MsPanda: How far is Woodburn from Beaverton or Portland? I might drive to work in downtown that day and can scoop you up if it's relatively close.
@misskoala: Ummm Well it is only like 20-30 minutes from salem. It is right off the freeway! and according to google maps it is 39 minutes from beaverton
@MsPanda: I might be able to do that.
Let's set a date for this thing!
here are the dates poted on the other thread!
Jan 18h, Jan25th, Feb 1st, Feb 8th
@MsPanda: Sounds like a good idea. I'm good with any date.
@misskoala: Ok I posted the other thread! Share that it is up with all the oregon bees you know :)
I'll bump it in the morning - headed to bed for the night. Goodnight all :)
Bumping this for everyone else interested.

Ok so we have girls from portland to eugene interested in going! So what city do we choose? and what place in that city do we meet? I am pretty sure the girls from eugene dont want to drive all the way up to portland and the portland girls dont want to drive all the way to eugene. So what does everyone think a good middle ground would be?
