Hi. There are a lot of really great locations in the Hudson Valley that are open to the public. http://www.hudsonriver.com/estates.htm is a great site for reading information on and finding links to some of the Historic sites and mansions. Another location that I love, especially in the Spring, is the Orange County Arboretum http://www.orangecountyarboretum.org/ . They have a lake, wonderful flowers and some great vignettes for photos. They are also available for events...showers, weddings, etc. Also check out your local parks, gardens and arboretums. Have Fun!

Did you guys have engagement photos done? If so, where?
My husband and I didn't have professional ones done, but his dad is an amateur photog and took a bunch of us.
We went to Boscobel on Rt 9D in Garrison:
The grounds are beautiful, and in the fall, the foliage is fantastic.
Do you have recommendations for photographers and/or locations for great epics?
Here's the shot we used for our STD (it's a closeup, so the location didn't really show).
