So I'm trying to come up with the wording for my response cards - my challenge is I'd like to get other info on these people - I don't have a hotel block, but I've recommended hotels and I might do OOT bags.  Also the ceremony is outside, and if there is a rain issue I'd like to let people know what to do (I've been a guest when this is an issue and it is a little crazy if you don't have a phone number handy).  So what do you think of the below wording?

All right that's all gobbledy gook lets try that again.

Kindly respond on or before the fifteenth of July

    Mr. & Mrs. _________

      ___ persons will attend

Please note any lodging details or contact information in case of rain.

    ______________

I think that's a great way to keep your guests informed. Make sure you don't give them your phone number, though - you don't want people depending on you for rain info on the morning of your wedding day...do you have a trusted person who can pass out that information?

I think that works.  Two thoughts:

    1. I would put Name(s) instead of Mr. and Mrs. unless everyone you are inviting is a married couple with the same last name and no one is a doctor, etc...

    2. Maybe you can just say 'please note your lodging plans and contact information.'  You may only need the information in case of rain, but you could need if for another reason (venue change, etc...).  You don't really need to mention the rain part on the RSVP.

Thanks EK - I'm actually (maybe super ambitious) hoping to have everyone's name preprinted on the response cards (I'm DIYing).  So not everyone will say mr. and mrs.  Yeah - maybe I should leave the rain part out, just so they won't expect us to contact everyone if its not feasible...

ohhh, my bad. i thought you were giving the guests a number to call if it was raining, to get an update. that might be an easier way around it, to designate an uncle or somebody who could handle phone calls.

Yeah - I'm hoping I'll just end up with a stack of numbers to call in case of worst case scenario.  Easy to hand off that way.
