I suggest www.ikea.com seriously.. anything from ikea you cant go wrong for storage. We purchased our dining room table, storage things for our computer room.. bookshelves.. all competitive pricing and quite modern.
I love ikea!
ZOMG I love IKEA! All of our current furniture is from there =) I hope that it looks good in the new space since they are completely different styles. My concerns are that a) we won't have enough storage b)the space will look too empty c)the space will look too cramped because we have enough storage.
Can you put a copy of the floor plan on here? Do you have a copy of the plan? If you could scan it in, and put it on here, I could do a sketch for you and put it back...
I live in a 2 story loft, here's some pics of our layout (ours is 1200 sq ft, so we have more space to work with, but this should give you some idea)

One of the bees had posted this link recently and it's given me tons of inspiration:

FI and I are getting ready to move to a 550sq ft loft in 2 weeks. I love the space, but have no idea how to decorate it! The bedroom area is upstairs so we don't have to squeeze that into the decor. We need a living space, a work space & eating space.
The loft is in a great location and we love the layout, but I've never lived in a big open space before and I'm completely intimidated on decorating it! Any bee's have decorating suggestions? Pictures of the lofts you live in?
If you don't live in a loft/small space, what are your favorite furniture/storage combos?
