I’m sure the consultant didn’t mean for you to call up all your guests and tell them to buy you the mixer right now, but rather to let you know about the coupons and the upcoming price increase. I would probably just mention that to my mother or FMIL and let them spread the word, since they may have an inkling about whether anyone is planning to buy it for you, and if so, when.

I get what the consultant was trying to accomplish but in all honesty it was a pretty pointless phone call. Is there really someone ballsy enough to call and suggest such a thing to their potential guests? I certainly wouldn’t dream of it!

  Gotta love Macy’s :-). I love their registry rewards program, but gosh…I feel like everything is more expensive there! Luckily, they do run sales often. I got an e-mail today that I can take 20% off of a registry item. Do you think I should go ahead and forward this to my guests? 😉

  Also…one of our items has had the note of “this item is being discontinued to provide new variety”, or something of that matter, ever since we registered in January. As of last week, the item was still in stores, and there were definitely more than one or two of them available.
