My BMs wore long a-line dresses and said they were really comfortable, and one of them was 6 mos pregnant and another had knee surgery a couple weeks before the wedding, so that's saying a lot :) I agree with you that long dresses tend to be a little more formal, but if you all want long dresses, I think you'll be able to find some that work with your dress. What does your dress look like? What's your estimated BM dress price? I'm sure the hive will be happy to poke around and find some options for you! I keep picturing long dresses as being stuffy and rigid in my head. Like if my girls wear long dresses they won't be able to move around or be as comfortable.
Does anyone have pictures of real people in long dresses?
I guess my main problem is that my dress isn't overly fancy and I dont want my bridesmaids to look more formal or fancy than me. Also, most of the girls are plus size (and I am too), so I feel like a shorter dress would be more flattering but we all want long dresses.
