This feels like way too TMI, but I’m starting to get concerned. Our new healthcare coverage doesn’t kick in until Jan. 1, so I need to wait a few weeks before going in to see my gyno.
I went off BC (I was on the NuvaRing) about 9 months ago to start charting my cycles. Not quite ready to TTC just yet, but I thought I should start charting and getting more in tune with what my regular cycle looks like.
Turns out it is a disaster :(. My first few cycles after BC were fine, then this summer my cycles went crazy. Cycle lengths all over the place, and several longer than usual periods.
Here’s my history from the last few months:
May 5 – June 25th (52 days long)
June 26 – Jul 18th (23 days)
Jul 19th – Aug 30 (43 days)
Aug 31 – Sept 19 (20 days)
Sept 20 – Nov 20 (a whopping 62-day-long cycle!)
I’m not on any medication, take a daily multivitamin, get regular sleep, and haven’t lost any weight. I’m at a loss regarding what’s going on.
Regarding the cycle I’m currently on, I’ve been on my period for 17 days. I’m so worried this could be a sign I have PCOS or something.
Any insight? Other than taking in the charts of my cycles for the gyno, what other information should I have prepared?
