It really varies from woman to woman, how long have you been off of oral contraceptives? Some women take as much as 6-9 months to get back into the swing of things. Stress does affect ovulation, and you could be in a cycle of anovulation. Are you sure that you haven't ovulated yet? I'd contact your doctor if you don't see menses by 60 days. They may want to check things out.
Thanks! Yes I am quite confident I haven't O'd. I suppose I could POAS but I really don't think I have so I think it'd be a waste of a test. I've been off for a year in June. Like I said I thought they were getting to be pretty normal until this month. I might try to just stop thinking about it because it's added stress on top of my stressful month, but I just didn't know if this happens occasionally to others or if anyone had any tips.
Do you take your temperature everyday, even during your period? Also, was your last period normal for you? And is it usually between 5-7 days? I ask these things b/c you could have ovulated super early and didn't realize it (it's unlikely) but my menstruation sometimes lasts longer than 7 days not including the spotting in the beginning. So if it was a normal flow then you most likely are in a period of anovulation--sometimes things happen where your body readjusts itself.
Hmm. Yep I temp every day..and yes it was normal flow though maybe a bit lighter than usual, and it lasted 5 days + 3 days of spotting. The only thing out of the ordinary about it was that my temp always drops the day my period begns, then stays low, and it didn't this month... it stayed high, then jumped all around until CD 11 when it leveled out to my normal pre-o temps (between 97.5-97.9). Not sure what that could mean. Looking at my chart now it seems like as the cycle has progressed my temps have trended downwards..
@monalisa670: Not to freak you out, but could you have had a chemical pregnancy/miscarriage? I've never heard of period temps remaining high unless there is a pregnancy? I'm not sure what you could do at this point if that's the case. If I were you I'd POAS.
EDIT: I could be wildly incorrect.
Hmm. Now that you mention it, I didn't get my period until 15 dpo which I thought was odd because I always get it right around 12dpo. I don't think I could be pg now because my temps have dipped quite low at some points this month but it could explain the wackiness earlier this cycle. Interesting theory. Of course yes it could be totally off base but is still interesting nonetheless. I really appreciate you bouncing around your ideas with me, beekiss!!

So DH and I have decided that we will start TTC in a few months. I chart and while it took me 3 months to get my first period after going off the pill, my body smoothed things out to about 35 day cycles or so (or so I thought). That is, until this month, where I haven't O'd yet and I'm on CD 32. I've definitely had a very stressful month so I believe it is that, but I'm getting frustrated. I have a bunch of questions. Does this happen to anyone else? I know I ovulate because I show very consistent, clearly biphasic charts every other month. Should I be worried? Might my period just show up and I'll have an anovulatory cycle? Any tips for making cycles more regular or inducing O? I've heard of taking Evening Primrpse Oil but I'm nervous about that kind of thing. I'm tempted to just start TTC sooner because I don't like the thought of waiting so long for each cycle, if this continues! It's frustrating. Any tips or advice would be really really appreciated. TIA!
