FI and I did 1 year long distance at the beginning of our relationship. On our 1 year anniversary I decided to make the move (we had been talking about it since month 4!). We only missed 2 weekends in the whole year!
The best part about being in the same place as him everyday is going to bed next to him, and waking up next to him. Also, I love that we eat dinner together almost every night. The absolute best part, is that are able to just be with each other and cuddle on our "Lazy Sundays"!!!
How cute! Your excitement is practically jumping off the screen! We were apart for two years when our families moved to different states in the middle of high school (that is HI and TX.. pretty far), and only got to see each other for a couple weeks at a time, 2x/year. Finally being able to spend tons of time together once we went to college together was fantastic!
Other people must be able to relate to this, though -- one of the best things about being back together after long-distance is just doing everyday things knowing he's in the room, or the other room... or just nearby in general! Does that make sense?
Yay for ending the long-distance!
Heh, cell phone bills go down... and you can downgrade your minutes plan. :-)
Oh yah, and the waking up next to each other part too!
My favorite thing about being back together with my FH after he spent 3 months in Europe was, cheesily enough, seeing his smiling face when I pulled up to pick him up from the airport. I remember the grin on his face as he waved to my car, and I'll never forget it.
It was also wonderful to be able to cuddle and watch our favorite shows on TV again, as well as just talk on the phone whenever we wanted without worrying about the wild time difference. We also realized that we REALLY missed cooking dinner together. Reunions are the best. :)
ths is all i've got for you guys ..... ![]()
I cant't figure out how to count down my days ... I get on a plane next Saturday morning at 10 am .. so do I have to count Saturday? And do I count the day I'm currently in? We like to count the number of sleeps I have left without each other. Even if one of us is just spending one night away - for work or at our parents house or somethign we always say "it's just one sleep" ... so for us it's just 11 sleeps!
That's the cutest way to count down ever!! I like it, and fully intend to borrow it for future countdowns!
Now, it's only 10 sleeps! haha. I promise I won't count down here, I have enough countdowns going on at work and at home and everything. Thanks for the happy thoughts ladies!

My fiance and I are coming to the end of our mini-long distance relationship (we were only apart for 3 months due to a work rotation for me) ... We are SOOO excited!
For those of you whohave come to the end of a long distance apart ... what was the best part of finally being back together?!??! (or being in the same place for the first time?!) I've got to make sure I'm dreaming about the right things (And for you bees with dirty minds, dont worry that one is already on my list! hehe)
